Compassionate, Respectful and Affordable Psychosocial Recovery Coach and Support Worker
I’m Helen Dowling, and I offer calm, respectful support for people who need help to achieve their best life. I have lived within the Southern Moreton Bay Islands for over 12 years and understand the unique challenges and benefits of living on our islands.
I offer psychosocial recovery coaching as well as support work on SMBI or via telehealth. I believe meaningful support starts with feeling safe, heard, and understood. I take a person-centred approach, working at your pace and focusing on what helps you feel more confident, supported, and able to engage in everyday life.
I bring patience, empathy, and genuine care to the people I support. My focus is on building trust, maintaining dignity, and supporting each person in a way that feels respectful and sustainable.
Alongside empathy and genuine care, I take my professional responsibilities seriously. I work in line with recognised codes of conduct and standards. Your wellbeing, confidentiality, and rights are always respected and protected in our work together.
Respect, dignity and genuine care
When you work with me, you can expect professionalism, reliability, and a calm, grounded presence.
I take the time to understand your unique situation, strengths, and goals. Together, we clarify what support looks like for you. Whether that’s practical assistance, recovery support, emotional support, help with organisation, or building daily living skills. Support is tailored to your needs and your pace. I listen to understand.
We work collaboratively to develop a clear and realistic plan that builds resilience, independence, and long-term capacity. My approach is thoughtful and solution-focused. I can work with family, carers and other professionals to ensure your goals are met.
Above all, you can expect to be treated with respect, dignity, and genuine care. Your goals matter, your voice matters, and your safety and best interests remain at the centre of every decision.
If you need recovery support, I offer warm, person-centred psychosocial recovery coaching. I support you to move beyond simply surviving toward feeling more balanced, connected, and hopeful about your future, in a space where your experiences are respected, your pace is honoured, and your wellbeing always comes first.
